The Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner is the larvae of a Moth (5mm) having up to five generations a year. Cameraria ohridella discovered in Macedonia in 1985 has rapidly spread across Europe and is gaining a foothold in the UK, since its discovery in 2002. There can be many mines on a leaf and this can cause serious defoliation. An Exotic Pest Alert on C. ohridella published June 2003. First found in Cardiff 2006.
