Glamorgan Moth Recording Group
~
GMRG members first came to the reserve in April 2011 when traps were set up in the Butterfly Ride, two Skinner traps and one hanging under a Horsechestnut tree. The first moth found was the Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner (Cameraria ohridella) on leaves and bark of the tree. 43 moths from 10 species were recorded. GMRG members continue to record moths on the reserve, so far 79 species.

The Sheet & Skinner traps are assembled, generators primed, powered up, and monitored with species being recorded. This and other sessions continue to record the reserves flora and fauna.
