The woodland areas of the reserve provide ideal habitats for many bird species including a variety of Tits, Nuthatches and Tawny Owl the woodland compliments the Water Features and Meadowland areas.

Older Woodland

Here amongst the mature Oak you will see a large variety of small birds including Great, Blue and Long-tailed Tits, Wrens, Blackbirds and Wood Pigeon.

Planted Woodland

Planted within the last 30 years this woodland boasts many species which require a mature woodland habitat including the colourful Jay and trunk hugging Tree Creeper.
